I set about writing On This Day around Easter 2009, with a view to recording it before the Summer Hols, and, with the good grace of friends managed to do just that towards the end of July at Emmanuel Church in Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield.
I’ve just got to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who turned up on the day to make it at all possible and especially Nik for recording it.
Sadly, the road noise on the recoding meant I couldn’t use it on the Row of Ashes recording, so we re-recorded it in one of the large halls at The Walsall Arena and Arts Centre, with Phil Whittacker in charge of recording.
